2020/12/01In 2020, a short prospecting program was conducted to examine the potential for intrusion related Au mineralization on newly staked claims. No significant mineralization or alteration was located, and a comparative analysis of the geochemical results of rock samples collected on the property indicated that the elemental suite associated with elevated Au values is indicative of orogenic rather than intrusive style mineralization. Concurrent with the prospecting program a high-resolution UAV photogrammetry program was carried out to identify structures in the area of the historic drilling. In the winter of 2021, a towed capacitively coupled resistivity (CCR) survey was successful at delineating several linear resistivity lows that were not identified in precious VLF-EM and magnetic surveys. Many linear resistivity responses were observed in the survey data (Figure 5) and were classified broadly into three groups. Group One, resistivity lows are associated with lithologies such as mafic dykes (cross cutting) and sedimentary bedding (bedding parallel conductors). Group Two, resistivity lows are associated with topographic features such as streams and lakes, or changes in topography. Structures can often be inferred from linear features in topography, or streams, or sharp changes in the shape of lakes. Finally, Group Three represents resistivity lows that do not appear to have a direct association with the features of the two groups listed above and were inferred to be faults or shear zones. Many of these conductors crosscut or are sub-parallel to stratigraphy and topographic features (Figure 5). Group Three resistivity lows, where associated with mineralized quartz veins exposed at surface, were identified as possible targets for additional vein-hosted gold where the feature is covered by overburden.
2019/12/01In 2019, additional surficial geochemical sampling and rock sampling were conducted. 625 Ah/B horizon soil samples and 264 rock samples were collected with work focusing on the western part of the property. The soil sampling produced some elevated As and Au-in-soil values, however the results were subdued when compared to previous programs. Only three of the rock samples returned Au values greater that 0.5 g/t Au, up to a maximum of 1.32 g/t Au. All of these samples were of quartz stringers contained in biotitequartz schists and were collected in an area of anomalous As identified in the 2017 soil sampling program.

Aurora Geosciences was contracted for soil sampling at the Fox Lake project. 854 soil samples were collected over areas including the Fox Lake and Zena historical showings.
